A FULLY FUNCTIONAL FREE TRIAL OF ANY MAXLINE DRIVER IS AVAILABLE.
EACH TIME THE NIAGARA AX SYSTEM IS STARTED, THE DRIVER SOFTWARE WILL RUN FOR TWO HOURS TO PERMIT FULL TESTING ON SITE BEFORE PURCHASING AN UNLOCK CODE.
MaxLine (formerly Infocon) drivers work on any version of NiagaraAX including Vykon, Centraline, Distech and other OEMs. They provide a way to connect a Niagara AX system to other brands of Building Management System, and a wide range of third-party devices. This provides a solution for both existing (legacy) installations that need updated, or specialist equipment that needs to be connected to a Niagara AX system.
In the same way that the standard Tridium drivers permit a NiagaraAX system to "speak and understand" protocols like BACnet, Modbus, M-Bus, LONworks etc, these drivers allow the NiagaraAX system to "talk and listen" to other brands of equipment. The exact details vary depending on the protocol, but in general the drivers allow the NiagaraAX system to appear as a controller which can then communicate with "other brand" equipment. For some protocols a "slave" driver is available so that the NiagaraAX system can be connected as the remote node to be controlled by the existing controller.
Because these software drivers allow existing installed controllers and sensors to be connected to a new NiagaraAX system they can be used to overcome the tie-in to a single manufacturer of a system. These drivers allow a future-proof system to be developed which can communicate with a vast number of current and future devices using dozens of different protocols.
A run-time limited version of MaxLine drivers is available at no cost so that functionality can be fully checked before purchase. The run-time limited driver can be installed and configured on site and will run for two hours, then the NiagaraAX system has to be reset and it will run for another two hours, and so on. When the unlock code (linked to the Host ID) is purchased it can be input into the NiagaraAX device (JACE/HAWK or Web Supervisor/ArenaAX) and the two hour runtime restriction is lifted - but the driver and all the programming is unchanged and does not have to be re-entered.
